A LIVING LEGEND ON BONANZA & SON ON RESONANCE FM... BUZZ CASON

A LIVING LEGEND ON BONANZA & SON ON RESONANCE FM... BUZZ CASON

Howdy Folks,
Well what can I say this week is THEE single most crazy, bonkers-busy Bonanza & Son week EVER!!!

We'll try to keep it swift and brief cos there really is a lot to tell you.

On TUESDAY 22nd July 2014 we are recording a live session and interview with Otis Gibbs. Regular listeners to our show will be more than familiar with Otis upcoming new LP 'Souvenirs of A Misspent Youth' as we have played a number of tracks in recent weeks and it really is a cracker and the session will be a good 'un for sure. Watch this space for full future broadcast details. In the meantime here's Otis' very own radio show and a very illuminating interview with Scott H Biram...

Here are some of our past shows for you to have a rummage through too...

On WEDNESDAY we have a live session and interview with a true living legend Mr Buzz Cason. The show will air live at 4:30pm (UK time) when Buzz will play songs from his latest LP 'Troubadour Heart' ' plus some blasts from the past.

Buzz has had an incredible career having worked with them all. He was a founding member of The Casuals, Nashville's first rock and roll band. He toured with The Crickets and went on to have huge success as a songwriter including the worldwide smash hit 'Everlasting Love'. You're only as good as your most recent album of course and Buzz' brand new album 'Troubadour Heart', which has just been released on Plowboy Records, is one of our favourite albums of the year thus far and is a real gem of a record mixing Country, Blues, Rock 'n 'Roll and even Punk and New Wave! This is the first time Buzz has been to the UK for over ten years so we are very excited and honoured to have both an exclusive live session and a series of intimate gigs.

Buzz has also written songs for and had songs covered by Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard Haggard, The Judds, The Doobie Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Olivia Newton-John and even The Beatles. Buzz has worked with them all and can even boast backing singer credits with Elvis Presley and Kenny Rogers.

On THURSDAY Bonanza & Son are DJing alongside two amazing London bands The Milky Onions + The Fruitful Earth at The Earl Derby, 155 Kilburn High Rd, NW6. This event has been made 'gig of the week' by 'West Hampstead Life' and we wouldn't argue with that... The Milky Onions with their Post-Modern take on Psych' will delight with plenty of weirdness to boot... Plus the wonderful ‘female vocal-led 70's love vibes' of The Fruitful Earth both complimented by a Bonanza & Son DJ set of Psych, 70's MOR and Hippy Trippy Americana.
