The award winning and critically acclaimed John Fullbright is on Bonanza & Son today...

Howdy Folks,
Here is our latest update for another fun packed and exciting week ahead for Bonanza & Son...

This afternoon Wednesday at 4:30pm (UK time) on our ResonanceFM radio show we have a live session and interview with John Fullbright.

John is about to release his sophomore LP simply entitled 'Songs' on July 21st and it is a more than able follow up LP to his critically acclaimed 2012 debut 'From The Ground Up'.

John came into the ResonanceFM studio recently and recorded a live session and interview on the run up to his show at the 800 capacity Islington Assembly Hall. His UK tour is still in full swing.

Today at 4:30pm you can hear John perform intimate versions from the album plus an interview about the making of the album and life on his current European tour.

We will as always be playing the best of all the upcoming Country & Americana releases including new and forthcoming albums from Neil Young, Shovels & Rope, Billi Joe Shaver, The Felice Brothers, Richard Thompson, The Delines, The Howlin' Brothers, Broken Boat, Otis Gibbs, plus we'll have plenty of vintage, vinyl nuggets that we've picked up on our travels including Tony Joe White on the run up to his gig this Friday at the Union Chapel.

Tune in today Wednesday 2nd July at 4:30pm (UK time) on 104.4FM in London or anywhere on www.resonancefm.com to hear the session and interview or listen again on

Then on Thursday we make our official DJ debut at The Earl Derby pub on Kilburn High Road with a Father & Son, tag-team DJ special.

Oh and don't forget we have booked Nashville, Rock 'n' Roll legend Buzz Cason who is coming to London at the end of July. Buzz was a founding member of The Casuals, Nashville's first rock and roll band. He toured with The Crickets and went on to have huge success as a songwriter including the worldwide smash hit 'Everlasting Love'. You're only as good as your most recent album of course and Buzz' brand new album 'Troubadour Heart', which has just been released on Plowboy Records, is one of our favourite albums of the year thus far and is a real gem of a record mixing Country, Blues, Rock 'n 'Roll and even Punk!

Buzz has also written songs for and had songs covered by Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard, The Judds, The Doobie Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Olivia Newton-John and even The Beatles.

Buzz will play four Bonanza & Son shows including 'Countrier Than Thou' on 31st July, Aces & Eights on the 26th July and BrewDog Bar Shoreditch on Sunday 3rd August.

Buzz will also perform a live session and interview on Bonanza & Son on ResonanceFM on Wednesday 23rd July.

We hope you have a pleasant and peaceful week and we really hope to see you at one if not all of our upcoming events.

Live acts:
The Fruitful Earth:
A Bonanza & Son debut for one of our favourite bands on the London scene at the moment. A glorious keyboard driven summer sound coming on like a musical Tapestry of Carole King where Rumours abound that Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks is about to join the party with a little dash of Bobbie Gentry and Dusty in Memphis to get you up on the danceflor. The sweetest and lightest feelings of love and good times are imminent.

Harry Mundy:
Harry Mundy’s reputation precedes him what with recording his debut album with Ryan Adams band The Cardinals in Nashville no less and then promptly receiving a five star review in Maverick where they described it as a 'steel guitar dominated Country sound… his own distinctive take with well-written songs that explore the age-old Country subjects of heartbreak, drink, unrequited love and loneliness. Pathos with his impassioned voice and some Bluesy harmonica, most impressive.’
Tonight we have a rare and intimate solo performance from one of London’s most promising practitioners of Americana music.
