Bonanza & Son on ResonanceFM Presents.

Live acts:
Oh!Gunquit
North London exotic 4 piece who almost defy classification with their sexy, trashy rock'n'roll. Tribal, Jungle tom toms beat wildly and twangy Link Wray guitars surround the high-spirited female lead vocals that roar and purr, plus seedy tenor sax wails for that added sumptuous slice of exotica.

Bizarre songs about Tigers, Cherries, and Killers were recorded in the bands’ cellar by crazy band members Tina Bopper, Si-Borg, Dr Zoom, VV, Lexonie & Birdman.

These Neo-surf garage rockers bring back the sexiness of the B-52’s, The Cramps, with some Link Wray & ESG thrown in for good measure.

Things are really taking off for these guys since they recently got back from some USA dates having just finished recording their debut album at Gizzard Analogue Studio & a first Single from this to be released on none other than the mighty One Little Indian Records on 1st DEC' 2014.

Lewis Floyd Henry:
Compared to Jimi Hendrix in both sound and appearance, longtime busker Lewis Floyd Henry's unique one-man band brand of psychedelic blues-rock and Americana eventually transcended the tube stations and city streets where he spent seven years playing.

Lewisham born Henry first became a graffiti artist (and as such was the subject of a documentary, Story of Known), before studying art at the prestigious Central St. Martin's College.

Inspired by the likes of Pantera and Black Sabbath rather than the Hip-Hop scene he grew up around, he began experimenting with a lo-fi sound, which he honed while performing on the likes of London's Portobello Road and Tottenham Court Road. Armed with a guitar, tambourine, harmonica, and children's drum kit, his inventive renditions of Wu-Tang Clan's "Protect Ya Neck" soon made him the talk of the town, and led to him being signed by indie label Adjust in 2010. After performing at Glastonbury, the Big Chill, and Latitude festivals a couple of years ago he released his debut album, 'One Man & His 30W Pram', named after his habit of transporting his instruments in a vintage baby pram. Now he's back with a storming brand new LP 'Across The Thames' and we can't wait to hear the new songs live this Saturday.

The Tender Hips:
Possessors of dark, Alt-Country hearts as worn on their best Western sleeves replete with the shiniest Country-pop hooks and the finest of Byrdsian harmonies that even Gram Parsons would be jealous of. Also reminiscent of REM's finest moments whilst riding on horseback with upbeat Townes Van Zandt... We predict big things for these stalwarts of Americana.

'Out Of Sight' Jim Keaveny

I can't express how much I love 'Out Of Time' the new album from Jim Keaveny... All my Americana/Country loving friends NEED to hear this album I kid you not... Anyone who knows me knows I don't joke about stuff like this!.. It's a modern day classic!.. End of story...

Upcoming new album from Jim Keaveny is a beauty. Sounds like Bob Dylan has dragged The War On Drugs kicking and screaming around dust bowl America with a car full of narcotics courtesy of Hunter S. Thompson on an hallucinatory road trip that stops off in Tijuana, Nashville, Lubbock and Bakersfield and lastly to the Catskill mountains to pick up our good friends The Felice Brothers.

Real Country and authentic American Roots music is making a very welcome return via the likes of, amongst others, Sturgill Simpson, Daniel Romano and now Jim Keaveny to name but three. Yeee haaa indeed!

The album 'Out Of Time' is released 10th November but you can hear tracks at The Phoenix, Cavendish Square, London W1 on Saturday when Bonanza & Son present Oh!Gunquit, Lewis Floyd Henry and The Tender Hips live + a Bonanza & Son DJ set...

We will also be playing tracks on our ResonanceFM radio show which relaunches after the summer break on Wednesday 17th September 2014 at 4:30pm (UK time)... Tune in on 104.4FM in London or anywhere on www.resonancefm.com
